Daniela Commey

Organization

Daniella Commey is a multimedia artist working primarily in painting, generative networks, 3D printing, and modeling. She uses her religious upbringing to interrogate themes, often defining the subject, or self, relegated to exist within an objective world. Commey investigates the ‘Western Museum’ and its historic connection to the East, and efforts to decolonize the 'collection’ and the exhibition of human remains. Born in West Africa and raised in Northwestern Europe, she began her research in England and completed her Fine Art Bachelor's degree at the University of the Arts London in 2023. Daniella Commey plans to continue her education in New York at The Parsons School of Design.
